Sevdah of lost Identity – one day Workshop

The participants were invited to work with one traditional element found in the visual heritage of ex-Yugoslavia. We channeled our creativity through the beauty of geometrical forms and symmetry found in traditional motifs through which we addressed our national/ethnical/cultural identity and shared history.

The workshop was designed to accompany the current exhibition on display which shows a vast oral and personal history of different ex-Yugoslavian identities in exile in Slovenia. It addresses everything from every day life to sport and education to home cooking recipes.
